RENTAL INFORMATION AND POLICIES

 

General Information

You will find your cabin/home fully equipped with all of the linens, towels, bedding, dishes, flatware, cookware & bake ware, coffeemaker with filters, microwave and toasters. Optionally you may want to bring coffee, paper towels, napkins, personal toiletries, hairdryer and briquettes for places without propane barbeques. You will need to bring laundry detergent if your place has a washer/dryer. We supply toilet paper, Kleenex and personal hand soaps. Most of the cabins have cable TV with VCR/DVD players.

 

The cabins are heated with electric heat, propane and/or fireplaces (wood provided). Free videos/DVDs are available at Wallowa Lake Resort. On making your reservation you will need to pay a deposit equal to one night stay. We only accept Money Orders, VISA and MasterCard or cash for your deposit and rental balance. Upon receipt of your deposit we will send you a confirmation. Your date is not guaranteed until we receive your deposit and we send you a confirmation. The remaining amount for your stay is due upon your arrival and paid at the Wallowa Lake Resort office.

 

Maximum Occupancy

Each of our homes and cabins state their maximum occupancy. If it states it sleeps 6, it means you cannot have more than 6 people at the property at anytime during your stay. THERE ARE NO GROUP GATHERINGS WITHOUT PERMISSION. Do not assume you can rent a home and use it for the central gathering place for any number of visitors. RV’S AND TENTS ARE NOT PERMITTED AT ANY CABIN.

 

Cancellations

There is a $50.00 processing fee on all cancellations. A cancellation within 30 days or less of the arrival date will forfeit 100% of the deposit amount (or one nights stay). A cancellation within 7 days or less of the arrival date, will forfeit the deposit plus any nights we are unable to re-rent.

 

Cabin or Date Changes

There is a $25.00 processing fee for changes to your reservation date or rental cabin. Changes within 7 days of your arrival must be for the same number of rental nights and not be made to a lower cost cabin.

 

Pets

Wallowa Lake Resort is pet friendly which means we do not collect large damage deposits, require high pet fees or impose excessive restrictions. Our ability to allow pets is determined by how well our guests adhere to the pet policies. Pets are permitted at many of our vacation rentals (maximum of 2). There is a nonrefundable $10/night cleaning fee for each pet. Please be a responsible pet owner and adhere to the following pet owner rules.

1) Pets may only be left alone in our vacation rentals if they are in a crate. We have a loaner crate if you do not have one.

 

2) Pets must be kept on a leash when outside unless they are on the enclosed decks of the pet friendly cabins/homes.

 

3) Cleanup after your pets using the Doggy Bags provided in your 'Doggy Care Kit'. We provide Doggy Do Bags at our office if you require more. You will be charged $50.00.

 

4) If a pet uses the furniture or beds please use the sheets provided in your 'Doggy Care Kit'. IF THE BEDDING MUST BE CLEANED BECAUSE OF PET HAIR YOU WILL BE CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL PET CLEANING FEE OF $100.00.

 

5) Barking dogs are not permitted. If your dog barks excessively you may be asked to leave.

 

6) All dogs that come to Wallowa Lake Resort must be friendly. If your dog cannot be approached by other guests or dogs, please do not bring them.

Some Cabins are No Pets

Wallowa Lake Resort has a few vacation rentals that do not allow pets.  For these homes a pet is not allowed on the property, in a crate, or in a vehicle.  If a pet is detected, you there will be a $200 charge on your credit card.   Exceptions to this policy can only be provided with prior approval.

 

Outside Fires

Outside fires & fireworks are NOT ALLOWED at any cabin at any time. If a fire is detected, you will be evicted immediately and no refunds issued.

 

Smoking

All units are non-smoking. If smoke is detected a $300.00 fee plus cleaning costs are applied to your credit card.

 

Check In

Check-in time is from 3PM on. Rental balance is due upon arrival and at that time you will be provided a key and directions to your cabin. If you are arriving after 6PM, a key and directions will be in an envelope on the office/gift shop front door. Please remember to check in at the office by noon the next day. There is a night buzzer by the office door to assist you in locating your cabin after office hours.

 

Check Out

Check-out time is 11AM. Prior to leaving empty the refrigerator, do your dishes and leave your key in our office key box. If dishes are not done or your place is excessively dirty, there will be additional cleaning fees at $30.00/hr. charged to your credit card.

 

Cabin Damages

Please report any accidents or broken items in your cabin before your departure.  WLR will repair/replace items as quickly as possible. Any damage to the cabin which occur during your stay will be charged to the credit card used for your deposit. There is a $10.00 fee for lost keys.

 

Wallowa Lake Resort and the owners of our cabins are not responsible for any harm or injury incurred either inside or outside each unit during your stay. Please be aware there are no refunds for late arrivals, no shows, early departures, poor weather, and acts of nature or neighboring construction noise.
