Wallowa County, Oregon offers something for

Wallowa Lake Tramway is only a short walk away, and from the top of
8,256-foot Mt. Howard you can enjoy the spectacular view of several
10,000-foot peaks of the Eagle Cap Wilderness and the Wallowa Valley
below, including the most perfectly formed glacial lake in the world
- Wallowa Lake. Within walking of the cabins are several
restaurants.
